PR Director

Digitally minded and Saasy (yes, she loves a pun), CIPR and PRCA member Gemma Birbeck is Loaded PR’s founder. When she’s not taking the lead on new business enquiries, she’s getting stuck into client work, from strategy right through to pitching stories.

Her enthusiasm, approachability and knowledge of the tech industry mean clients love to form a partnership with her, with a view to growing their business.

An advocate of continued personal development, she regularly attends industry seminars and courses, and invests in learning opportunities for the team. Positive workplace culture is something Gemma is passionate about, so she grabs every opportunity to show appreciation for the team.

Gemma is a self-confessed Starbucks coffee addict, so a meeting with Gemma will almost always include a soya cappuccino with a caramel shot.

Kris Brook

Operations Director

Office Manager Kris Brook is the cog that keeps the operational side of the business turning. An integral part of Loaded PR, he oversees the day-to-day running of the office and takes the lead on number crunching.

With years of experience of managing people, he puts the welfare of the ever-expanding team at the top of his list. From arranging team days out, to developing wellbeing strategies, he’s always got the happiness of the team in mind.

His talent for using design software means he regularly wows potential clients with fancy presentations, taking the team’s prior research and making it jump off the page.

Peter Lessani

Digital Marketing Executive

A Computer Games Development graduate from the University of Westminster, Peter has a passion for creativity using different mediums to portray concepts and visions into a virtual environment.

His extensive experience in this space has allowed him to develop a wealth of experience working the tech and digital industry, exposed to a variety of B2B businesses. Plus, he’s a great advocate for working with like-minded clients and helping them reach their goals.

Peter is constantly looking for ways to expand his skills and knowledge, hence the reason he joined Loaded PR.

When not at work, you can find Peter getting up to a wide variety of his hobbies from 3D Printing & Modelling to Wildlife Photography.

Martin Shaw

PR/Copywriting

The man with his eye constantly on the news, Martin Shaw is our chief news writer and all time ‘hook seeking’ team member.

With 35 years of experience as a journalist, working at titles such as Yorkshire Evening Post and Huddersfield Examiner, he knows exactly what makes a story and how to write it.

Outside of Loaded PR Martin also works as a freelance journalist and is editor of Huddersfield Hub, a positive and vibrant news website for Huddersfield, run as a Community Interest Company.

Even though Martin is a long-term freelancer at Loaded PR, he’s a very valuable member of the team.
